Our Coconut & Venison Bites
Smelly breath
Let’s talk about that lovely smell for a minute. No one likes stinky dog breath, right? Coconut helps mask bad breath and in a crunchy treat helps scrub away unwanted bacteria that is the cause for the bad breath in the first place.
Shiny coat and healthy skin
Many lotions and potions for us hoomans contain coconut. The oils lovely smell it enticing and great for the skin. Same goes for dogs. The anti-inflammatory properties of coconut help reduce dry, itchy skin and the fatty acids promote a healthy coat.
We even use coconut oil on scratches and paws!
Immune booster
Coconut is also an immune booster. Packed antioxidants it helps build a defence against bad bacteria, viruses, even parasites and fungi. This makes coconut a great snack for dogs at any time, even when they are not feeling 100%.
What to watch out for
Don’t feed your dog any sweetened coconut. Make sure it’s not been overly processed with sugars or other chemical preservatives that are bad for your dog.
Curtis giving a coconut a good sniff
Coconut water is not recommended due to high levels of potassium.
Also stick to feeding guidelines. Coconut is part of a healthy diet and as with any treat should be given in moderation.
Give coconut a try
Mr Curtis chose coconut as a key ingredient in one of our our flavours: Mr Curtis Coconut & Venison Bites
You might have seen that our treats don’t include any artificial attractants. That means there is nothing unnatural added to make our treats smell more appetising to dogs or to mask other ingredients. Coconut is a great natural attractant - most dogs love it. This makes our treats an attractive smelling and tasting experience for your pooch.
